Follow our tips to get it right.
Give yourself plenty of time: Finding the right Mother of the Bride outfit for you is not a task to be undertaken in haste. Our Spring/Summer mother of the bride/groom collections deliver in January and February and our Autumn/Winter collections deliver in June and July.
Do your research: Start by compiling the names of special occasion designers (like Veni Infantino and Condici). Ask friends whose styles you admire, look at wedding magazines and the internet.
“You have to try them on”: A lot of the dresses you see have no hanger appeal, they look completely different on the body! The mother of the bride/groom designers don’t make to order and only sell in independent boutiques. We generally receive one in each size and then once they are sold we are unable to order them in again.
Know what suits you: Mother of the Bride outfits come in such an array of styles and colours that it’s easy to fall for say a colour and ignore the cut. A boutique with a relaxed trying on area is a great way to find the style that suits you
